Theory and practice of Biodynamic Psychotherapy
There is not a great deal of academic literature relating to Biodynamic Psychotherapy. Gerda Boyesen, wrote from her experience and much of the literature that is available follows this tradition.
The Chapter in Innovative Therapy in Britian, Open University Press, Edited by Windy Dryden (1988) written by Clover Southwell is, in my view, the best summary of the theory and practise of biodynamic psychotherapy available in English. Permission to reprint this article here is being sought.
In recent years the developments in technology and application in Neuroscience has led support to the theoretical hypotheses of biodynamic psychology.
Many of the therapeutic practices are common to integrative psychotherapy but always refer to the root of the bodynamic non-verbal signals of the client and the relationship between the Client and the Psychotherapist.
