History of Biodynamic Psychotherapy

Body psychotherapy is a generic term in popular use that describes a range of approaches that draw on the work of Freud, Reich and Ferenczi.

Biodynamic Psychotherapy was created by Gerda Boyesen bringing a female perspective to the field. Using a stethoscope she discovered the connection between the involuntary muscular movement of the intestines (peristalsis) and the psyche.

A full article describing these developments will be available by August 2008.
